I vividly remember talking to Emily about her marriage to Ryan at Colgate University. She was so excited for us to see how beautiful the campus was and how many amazing backdrops there would be for photos. So when the day of the wedding came, we arrived early to scope out the possibilities. She was absolutely right, it was gorgeous! We truly did have so much fun running around campus with Emily + Ryan. The problem was, there was simply not enough time in the day to get to all of the pretty spots. And that is always the problem with wedding days…they go by too fast!! Good thing for photos to capture those fleeting moments! And speaking of photos…here are a handful of my favorites from their wonderful day.

Emily + Ryan preparing for their big beautiful day…

Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!!

The darling flower girl in her sparkly Tom’s shoes…

Ryan adjusts his tie before heading off to the church.

So very dashing!

Emily has the most amazing eyes! Just gorgeous!

It’s wedding time!

Andy captured this very cool image from outside the church…

Day dreaming of being a bride someday? 😉

The kiss!

I live for these moments…

Time for some photos of the newlyweds!

Here’s one of their lovely wedding party.

Amanda + Josh’s wedding day started out with a bit of a drizzle but these two were so sunny and so excited to be married it didn’t matter one bit! They declined our offer for umbrellas for their first look, which showed how relaxed they were about their day. The fact that they were getting married at one of the most beautiful locations on earth, was just frosting on the wedding cake. They were just as happy to be married in the coach barn as outside on the lawn (which really is not a bad rain contingency plan anyway). Thankfully it cleared up later in the afternoon, so guests were able to take in the beauty of the surroundings. These two were completely lovely to work with and we really enjoyed every moment of their day!

Pink + frilly!

I truly love photographing a bride getting ready for her wedding.

Amanda’s dress was perfect for her!

How fun are these flowers?! The tiny daisies were adorable!!

Time for the first look…

What rain?

The gorgeous wedding party…

The girls were so excited to get to the ceremony!

The boys were a bit more casual.

I love the way Josh and his mother watched as Amanda and her father walked down the aisle.

When Amanda is happy, she lights up a room!

Sealed with a kiss!

The newlyweds!!

Time for a few relaxed photos down by the lake….

Imagine that horses, cows and sheep used to live in this beautiful, historic barn.

A few pretty reception details…

A very romantic first dance…

Daddy’s girl…

The hora!!

A sweet moment to end on…

If you get married in Vermont, this is what your fancy shoes might look like.

I love the round barn all dressed up for a wedding party! And Alison did such a beautiful job with the flowers. Of course!

No one does a sparkly sweets table like Marion from Vermont Sweet Tooth!!

Alison Ellis - Such beautiful pictures of a gorgeous couple! Truly a lovely day captured beautifully! I love those muddy heels and their beautiful smiles (not necessarily in that order!). xo

Sarah + Grant met me down at the Burlington Waterfront on a bright and sunny spring day with their big lovable dog, Guinness for their engagement session. I was so excited to meet them, as they were the highest bidders on a session we donated for the Vermont Vows’ Wedding Affair at Shelburne Farms back in November. The proceeds for the auction went to the Make-a-Wish Foundation which is one of my very favorite organizations on the planet. It was such a win-win situation because I was completely smitten with Sarah + Grant (and Guinness too) and so thrilled to spend some time getting to know them…and of course taking photos of their cuteness! They will be getting married at later this year and I know their wedding is going to be completely beautiful!!
